How to Play Number Grid

The 120 Chart is an interactive number grid that goes past 100. Colour squares, find patterns, skip count and make puzzles.

What is Number Grid?

The grid shows numbers 1 to 120 in rows of ten. Click squares to colour them. Use it to skip count by 5s or 10s, black out numbers to make puzzles, then reveal them with other colours. 'Clear' resets the chart and 'hide' gives you a blank grid.

How to play Number Grid

Click or tap squares to colour them. Use the buttons to clear or hide numbers.

Step by step

1. Pick a colour.
2. Click squares to colour them.
3. Try colouring every 5th or 10th number.
4. Use 'hide' to make a blank chart and fill it in.
5. Press 'clear' to start again.

Strategy tips to play better

• Look down a column: each number is 10 more than the one above.
• Colour skip counting patterns and see the shapes they make.
• Hide numbers and ask a friend which ones are missing.
